The Rain Has Come

The rain has come.

It trickles.

Down. . .

Over rooftops and over windows.

Across streets and into gutters.

The rain has come.

Here it is.

Bringing fresh water and fresh smells.

Reviving plants and people.

We get lost in the sound of rain on the rooftops.

The light pitter patter lulling us to sleep.

The rain has come. . .

Filling rivers and lakes dancing with fish.

Softening soil for forest animals to dig in.

Nurturing flowers to help bloom their buds.

The rain has come, it is here. . .
